El Tortugero is a municipality in the Región Autónoma del Atlántico Sur department of Nicaragua. It is located at about 390 km from Managua and you can only get there when commutte from Managua to El Rama for 5 hours then you will have to take a truck to El Tortuguero. This is an hour ride on rough and muddy roads.
